Our Mission

Elisabeth Kimbulu founded BISONABISO in 2019 due to her deep-rooted passion for culture and heritage. Originally conceived as a modest project, BISONABISO has since grown and blossomed into a robust media and platform, hosting events such as The Congolese Women’s Forum 2024 (https://thecwf2024.splashthat.com/) and Afrofusion mixers. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Integrated Marketing at the NYU SPS. She also consults on social media and digital strategy and has worked with companies such as Global Beauty Care, HEAR Congo, and others.

BISONABISO, is translated as 'amongst ourselves' from the Congolese dialect, Lingala, representing our aspiration.

We aim to become the leading platform showcasing the richness and diversity of the African diaspora through a global lens, with a special emphasis on Congolese history, culture, heritage, and individuals.

We strive to craft spaces that inspire, support and connect dynamic professionals, creatives, business owners, and individuals.

As a multifaceted media and events platform, we celebrate the intersections of the African Diaspora.

We host diverse social, networking, and educational events, promoting collaboration, cultural exchange, and personal and professional development.

Since our launch in 2019, we've successfully created shared experiences through our Independence Day Soirée, Afro Fusion BBQ, and ItsChristmasnabiso events.

Going forward, we remain committed to creating and encouraging cross-cultural experiences.
